PRECISION NEEDLE-BEARING BARS
York “Elite” Competition Bars are made from the highest grade steel with an exclusive hard satin chrome finish. Competition and Training Bars are made from elevated temperature drawn high tensile steel for maximum strength and flexibility. Bar sleeves are machined-finished with needle bearings for reduced friction and fitted with an additional machined inner sleeve that provides protection and
smooth rotation of the outer sleeve. Bars are calibrated and weighed to be accurate to within +00.1% and –0.05% with a straightness tolerance of +/- .020 “TIR”. Sleeves are machine-finished to a precise 1.975 inch diameter accommodating for any 2” diameter Olympic plate. Meets International Weightlifting Federation specifications.

YORK POWER BAR
The York Power Bar is made using a stress relieved alloy bar from elevated temperature drawn steel with a minimum yield strength of 165,000 PSI. with a durable hard satin chrome finish. The York Power Bar is less flexible, more rigid, and has a tensile strength of 1500 lbs. It is excellent for use when performing static, highly controlled, slow movements such as the squat, chest press, and dead lift.
Sintered bronze bushing, impregnated with oil facilitate free and constant rotation of the bar without allowing for counter rotation of the weights. The bar ends are finished with a spring pin on a cold- finished, seamless tubing, securing the sleeve and making it virtually failure proof. Sleeves are machine-finished to a precise 1.975 inch diameter accommodating for any 2” diameter Olympic plate.

York applied its vast knowledge in bar design and produced perhaps the highest quality, most functional and attractive imported Olympic Bars today. York applied its signature “split sleeve” to each bar and designed a precision internal dual roll pin sleeve assembly. The replacement of the outmoded bolt sleeve assembly means the bar will not loosen or detach.

Each bar is heat tempered to 165,000 PSI. The hard chrome finish is more durable and decreases the liability associated with the chipping, cracking or peeling common with the use of bright chrome.

Standard Needle Bearing International Olympic Training Bars

York’s International Men’s and Women’s Needle Bearing Olympic Training Bars are an excellent choice for Olympic-style movements. The needle bearings ensure smooth, consistent rotation of the sleeves. The Men’s Bar is 7’ long, 28 mm, and heat-tempered to 185,000 PSI. Also available is a Women’s Bar that is 6 1/2’ long, 25 mm, and heat- treated to 150,000 PSI.
